Lunar Eclipse

 Crescentic bow

before ecliptic dusk

feeding off faint light

even a lunatic will discern

when piercing shades

enlightenment concurs

and horrors bring joy

to each one’s mind

New beginnings

precede an end

self-less faces

shine bright

come ashen feathers

bird of peace

messenger of Hachiman

or allegorical Phoenix?

No matter - we cycle again

From speeding light

a peaceful bounce          

faded colors nurture night

lessened and altered

still powerful force

how nature glows  

in waxing reflection:

are we not the same?

Lit by firebrand

blinded by dogma

marks and lines

brains and minds

a uniform wash-up

crease and character

wholly dissolved  

history can tell

war’s pale madness

三日月の弧

月蝕の薄闇の前に

微光を放ち

狂人でさえ見分けることが出来る

陰影を貫くとき

悟りと

恐怖の喜びがわき起こる

ひとりひとりの心に

新しい始まりは

終わりを先導し

無欲の顔が

明るく輝く

灰白色の鳥が来る

平和の鳥

八幡様のお使いか

寓意的なフェニックスか？

どうでもいいことだ−再び循環へ

加速する光から

平和の跳ね返り

褪せた色が夜を育くむ

弱められ変えられても

なお強力な力

自然はどのように輝くのだろう

満ちてくる月の反照の中で

われわれも同じではないのか？

松明に照らされ

教義に目を眩まされて

印と線と

頭脳と心と

一様に洗浄されて

皺も個性も

完全に溶けて

歴史は知っている

戦争の青ざめた狂気
